More posts to come related to what you will find at our show.
Now, onto the assembly! You can see the difference from my photo I posted yesterday. The firing process allows the color to come through, just as I promised. There are lots of little pieces hiding under the stilted larger pieces, so there is a lot to do! Once I get one of the solar pieces assembled, look for the post.
Have a great week!
I am off to finish my taxes prep and produce more clay to bisque later in the week.

Loaded and ready to go…
After torching those enamels for the past couple of weeks, it was time to jump back into my comfort zone and get some clay projects started for Handmade on Charles Street which is coming up May 3rd & 4th. I know it seems like a long way off, but there are tons of things I want to get started on!
First projects will be for the garden! The top shelf shows some of the layered pieces that will be used for the garden solar lights. After the firing, the greenish color will actually be a transparent clear glaze with some textured areas that will have color. I will be sure to take a photo when I open the kiln up in the morning. It’s the best part of working with fired clay projects…anticipation of the results in a newly fired kiln.
More projects for Handmade on Charles Street will be shown on future blog posts!
Mark your spring calendar and don’t miss our show! Plenty of wonderful handmade art selections from talented local artists.
